Well this is a weekend I think Im staying in for ... got an essay to write and also got a tonne of hw to do ... I do believe however that I might be able to make it to my friends gig on sunday.

This weekend is looking like a giant turd on the horizon. Mums having some of her spiritually inclined companions round for dinner on Saturday, and I've got a fucking tonne of work to do. My history teacher gave us shit loads of reading to do.

Talking of my history teacher, I lost absolutely all respect for him today when he promoted his opinion as fact in class. He was going on about how history has different points of view, and then he goes on to say that Bush cannot withdraw troops from Iraq because you can't just turn around and say "oops" to the families who have suffered... What a load of bull. What an uneducated, narrow-minded prick.

Just found some of my parents' old western classical cds after watching an episode of Mythbusters where they played Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Ripping them now. I'll probably go out later to peninsula for a while, and buy some new headphones.

Went and watched Mozart's The Magic Flute at the Metropolitan Operah last night. I didn't go to america for the night clearly, watched in the cinema at Vivo city. It was brilliant, loved it.

Yeah, I did think it was good. Though i'm sure plenty of critics will flame it being in english, modernised and put on the cinema (WITH SUBTITLES, OMG). Fuck that, it means that I got to watch it without having to be there, so surely that's a good thing.

One of my complaints was that in whole thing there was about 20 seconds' footage of the musicians in the pit thing. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of them chillin'

Yeah. Being in a pit for musical productions (opera, musicals, whatever) brings the win.

am in geo class. It's hella tame at the moment so I'm here too. The teacher is about 3-4ft away from me and has no idea Im on feos. quite the rebel.

I really dislike my geo class. most are a bunch of twats who are fucken stupid and annoying. the only person worth talking to, mika, is absent today. so i have to put up with simon's shit humour and everyone else's stupid questions.

I've got today off school. Slept in until 11:45 and have been listening to music/posting since. I'll get some work done this afternoon so I can read/compose this evening.

Today's been long. Chemistry was rubbish, got 75% on first test of the marking period due to some fucking stupid mistakes (thought tetroxide meant 10 oxygens). Economics was ok, watched an entertaining economics video from the 80's, but I couldn't concentrate because the girl I sit next to kept stretching, and she's quite attractive. Calculus was sweaty balls, as usual, history was a bit shit, English was ok, talked about Romanticism and Realism, and band was ok.

Was going to go out with some friends today, but didn't feel like it, so I canceled.

My yesterday's school kinda sucked. Spanish teacher wasn't around so we had that free. The rest of it was downhill with a fail hard bio test (photosynthesis) and all the rest of it...
Went to christina's place for the evening for some ice cream, then went to Newton Circus for some dinner with her, Kos, Ryan and Arlyn. Was a fairly decent evening actually. we consumed much alcohol, so I was feeling easygoing on the arlyn front.

Today I had a competition to help in at Riding for the Disabled and couldn't help but think of the meme, "Arguing on the internet is like competeing in the special olympics. even if you win..."
Actually that went fairly well- didn't get yelled at once. This one horse kept trying to bite me which was quite frustrating.

And now here I am. I don't feel like working on my extended essay, nor my geo homework. which are the only 2 things I have to do this weekend. It's that "got loads of time, do it later" feeling. Usually I feel compelled to work this time most saturdays.
